So first off, I know this isn't a monkey. It's a chimpanzee which is scientifically classified as NOT a monkey. But he looked really cool and the only fun reference photo of a monkey was a goofy looking thing with a big nose, so an executive decision was made. Hose Monkeys are usual Engine guys/gals but there's a bunch of us who cross-staff a bunch of apparatus which means you're likely to see monkeys of the stick and the box. Not sure if that is good or bad.

Here's the thing, the officer in whichever piece we are riding in has a particular style and rhythm to how they use their siren. Some stand on it, some like the highs and lows and others just sorta play nice with it.
